Welcome to the team! We know that starting a new job can be intimidating, so we just wanted to let you know that we support you and are here to help you in any way we can. You’re part of the team now, and we know you’ll do great things here.

We are Marie and Valentin, ambassadors on Wavre and Rixensart sites and we are really excited to welcome you on board at GSK.

On this page you will find some practical information to make your start here as easy as possible. For example, did you know that there are restaurants nearby? You will also find on this page an overview of all parking locations and the details of important contacts at GSK and Pauwels Consulting.

Pauwels Consulting & GSK

At Pauwels Consulting, it’s our mission to make our consultants happy, challenge them and ensure they are satisfied every day. This is why we have built up a team of more than 100 (!) individuals in the past few years whose job is to support our consultants as effectively as possible.

You never have to face a challenge alone – together with the client, we’ve got your back!

WhatsApp Group

Whatsapp-GSK-pauwels-consultingAs an ambassador within Pauwels Consulting, we focus all our efforts on the successful integration of everyone into our team.

That’s why we have a WhatsApp group for GSK consultants in which we share important information about the client or our company, any other kind of information relevant to the group members like for example a mobile radar on the way to the office, and many more.

We also briefly introduce newcomers in the form of a message in order to establish a first contact between you and other colleagues. Maybe someone you know is in the group and will be happy to know you are part of the team?

Finally, you should know that this group is not here to spy on you, to annoy you on the weekend with work-related questions. No, the group is created to have a good time, you can even share photos of your occupations, your vacations. Ask all the questions you want!

PS: if you receive too many notifications once you’re in the group, don’t run away too quickly. You can for example mute the conversation 🙂 But don’t forget to come and read us from time to time?

My first day on site

Joining a new company can be stressful, where do I go? What do I need to do to get on site? Where do I park? What is expected of me on my first day?

Don’t panic! The start of new consultants at GSK is often slow.

Here are some tips to help you prepare for your first day on site:

Step 1 - Getting your personal badge

Go to the main GSK site gatehouse to get your personal badge with your picture. Please note that parking spaces are available in front of the gatehouse for a limited period of 10 minutes. Do not hesitate to park there while you receive your badge.

Step 2 - Park your car

When you have your personal badge, park your car in one of the parking lots open to consultants.

Step 3 - Going to your office

Go to your office by following the site map received at the gatehouse or by consulting one of the maps on this site. If you do not know which building to go to, please contact your Talent Manager, Account Manager or your ambassador.

Step 4 - Introducing yourself

Take the time to introduce yourself to your new team, it’s important! A designated person in your team should be leading this quest with you.

Step 5 - Requesting your materials

Ask for your laptop and all the materials you need to accomplish your mission.

Step 6 - Getting GSK VPN access

Take time on the first day to connect to the GSK VPN so you can work from home if your role allows.

Wavre & Rixensart On-Site Lunch

Wavre-lunch-pauwels-consulting-gskIn Wavre, every first Thursday of the month, we organize a lunch between 12.00 and 13.00 in the building WN-21 and all consultants who wish to do so can participate.

In Rixensart, every first Monday of the month, we organize a lunch between 12.00 and 13.00 in the building RIX-43 and all consultants who wish to do so can participate.

Once again, we support the fact that a good feeling in a company/team starts with a good meeting.

Even if you are shy, please come and join us! We’ll do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable and overcome that shyness.

An invitation by e-mail is sent every month by the ambassador of Wavre with all the useful information about this event.

Restaurants

The restaurants are managed by Sodexo and offer varied and balanced menus that change daily. These are displayed on special notice boards in the various buildings. The dishes of the daily menu are displayed at the entrance of each restaurant.

The prices of the sandwiches vary from €2.60 to €4.90 for external employees.
